Our goal is always to create one-on-one play that is fun for both Grandma and Grandchild. We believe brains at play learn best. We reuse playdate ideas again and again with different grandchildren and share what we learn with you. No prep stress. No last-minute scrambling. Just one hour of pure fun together.
We’ve done the planning for you. No Pinterest rabbit holes, no aimless craft store runs
You don’t need to buy your grandkids useless plastic junk in an effort to shower them with your love. Instead, we create experiences and memories
Playdates can be repeated with different grandchildren. They are reusable and recyclable.
No more yawning through Candy Land or playing Barbies. These activities delight kids and keep grandma interested.
Works beautifully for video calls or in-person visits.
To keep costs low, borrow library books and create activities using materials you find around the house.
Together, we’ve created Grandma playdates to help grandmas everywhere strengthen family bonds, one joyful hour at a time.

Each playdate is designed around a specific children’s book, so activities are geared to be age-appropriate to work alongside that book. We have playdates for children as young as 2 and as old as 13.
No. Crafts are child-appropriate, and you’ll be able to manage them with minimal instruction.
While we supply links to purchased supplies, these are almost always “optional” depending on your budget. If purchasing books is outside of your budget, there are lots of options at your local library, or in digital libraries and storytelling sites online.
Yes! I actually store my playdateboxes to reuse again and again. I update a few supplies and a playdatebox or basket of fun is ready for a second run.
That’s the whole point! With some creativity, you can gather supplies on both sides of your video call and enjoy the stories and activities together just as if you were in the same room
Plan on an amount of time that is age-appropriate for the child you are with–anything from a few minutes, up to an hour.
Yes! We love to use books purchased from thrift stores, borrowed from the library, or just videos of online storytellers reading a book as part of a storytime video. When budget allows, we like to gift a copy of the book for the child’s permanent home library.
Grandpas are especially fun playdate buddies. Grandpa will bring his own brand of ingenuity and fun to the party.
Our hope is that everything we provide is easily accessible. Reach out to us for help if you have any difficulty.
