What It Means to Be a Modern Grandmother
We want all the beautiful and meaningful aspects of being known as a grandma—the unconditional love, the wisdom, the nurturing spirit—but we're not like our grandmas in some pretty fundamental ways.
McDonald's has introduced The Grandma McFlurry and it feels like proof that we are totally misunderstood.
We aren’t just butterscotch and whipped cream. We are also sushi, green smoothies, and eggplant parmesan. We have personality and power. Yes, we love our grandchildren immensely, but we also hike the Grand Canyon rim to rim and wear lingerie on Friday nights.
Being a modern grandmother means embracing a rich, diverse lifestyle that reflects our passions, our vitality, and our individuality.
My Vision
To help women find deep joy and fulfillment in their role as grandmothers, embracing this season of life as a time of purpose and connection. I believe that play and meaningful family bonds are essential to nurturing relationships with both adult children and grandchildren. Through moments of joy and laughter, we can create lasting memories that strengthen our families and leave a legacy of love.
I’m passionate about the power of storytelling and documenting life’s moments through stories and photographs. As grandmothers, we have the unique ability to bridge the gap between generations, passing down our wisdom and values. I want to inspire women to see themselves as dynamic and influential, continuing to grow and contribute, while leaving behind a legacy of connection and joy for future generations.
I’m Most Passionate About . . .
01
Helping women foster strong, meaningful connections with their family (which includes her husband, parents, children, and grandchildren)!
02
Recognizing women as individuals with their own creative energy and desires. Grandmothers are more than what they provide to others.
03
Inspiring growth. Our spirits do not age so we become wiser with time; we are never too old to learn and find joy in the third season of life.
